Bird Brain

20 Feb

So I had this huge post written about the economic situation. I even had a cool picture from here to post up. This one. I was going to be all sarcastic and attempt to be funny.

Except then I went out with my roommate Z and we ate at Le Pain Quotidien and it was really good. Then we went to Union Square and fed birds. Seriously. We took my leftover bread from SC and fed them. People came by and watched as the pigeons ate. Some really pretty birds caught the bread midair.

Then my cousin A, who flew in from London for Fasolka’s baptism last weekend, came to New York with her boyfriend J so I hung out with them. J’s good friend is an economist so he explained the situation to me. While I still think we’re screwed, I at least understand. Then we ate pizza.

Earlier we walked by Parsons, at which point I was telling my cousin about how Project Runway is filmed there. At that exact moment, Tim Gunn walked by. The best thing is that Z and I had been talking about how we’ve gotten so used to seeing famous people that we don’t even really look for them anymore. We just kind of keep on going places and there they are.

So my post about the economy disappeared on me. I didn’t want to finish it anymore. It’s joined all of the other half-written posts that are waiting to be published.

Another thing I was going to write about just now was ghost stories. But then I realized that it’s 10:23 PM and I don’t want to scare the crap out of myself before bed. (I’m like an old person… I go to bed earlyyy. And I get like 10 hours of sleep. I need it. Trust me.) So just as I was about to google it, I remembered it’s nearly late so I’ve turned on Legally Blonde. Only now I don’t want to watch it. I want to watch Top Gear and go to bed. Because Top Gear is lovely.

And I’m ridiculously tired.

Hey thanks for reading! I’m not much of a vlogger, and yeah I agree that it’s incredibly awkward just to type the word “vlog”. Amen to that.
