Alice In Wonderland has somehow become my new obsession. I’m not sure where it came from or why but I am suddenly utterly obsessed with it.

I Stumbled Upon StumbleUpon and Snow

20 Dec

I feel like half the posts I’ve written in the last few months have begun with “I’m still alive” or something to that effect. Well I figure since I’m writing a post, ya’ll can determine that I’m alive and that it’s not some evil doppelganger writing my blog. Because that would be weird. And very Sweet Valley High. I mean really, those books had like ten girls waiting to be the Wakefield twins. Were they really that amazing? Sure, being blue eyed blondes with “size six” figures (and also, in today’s world, size six is apparently fat–which is really sad but not what I’m going to talk about) seems great but you have to take into account all the dead boyfriends, blind best friends, backstabbers, and vampires (yeah, no joke). I don’t think I’d like to be a Wakefield at all.

I did have a somewhat Wakefield-esque experience though. Apparently a blizzard hit NYC. We got a TON of snow. Although take that with a grain of salt because I’m from South Carolina and anything more than two inches is a TON of snow to me. I went to Central Park yesterday with a photographer friend and when he gets around to posting his pictures on facebook, I’ll snag a few and put them up here. It was gorgeous outside. Chilly and my Uggs got drenched but worth it. We walked to Tavern on the Green where there were twinkly lights everywhere and lanterns in a tree. It looked just like a fairytale.

Until I fell.

On my ass.

Into the snow pile.

And got covered in snow.

But the thing is, I am so entirely used to falling on my butt that I just shrugged it off (literally and mentally) and kept walking.

The night before, when the snow began falling, P and I went to our boss’s holiday concert in the Village. It was possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, even though there was a couple totally getting it on INSIDE A CHURCH. She was all up on him, groping his head and he looked liked a puppy. It was pretty awkward, what with the whole they-need-a-room thing and the whole we’re-in-a-church thing. And then he finally realized she was being a tad inappropriate so he told her to knock it off. She got mad and began ignoring him. It was then that he understood that his chances of getting any once they finally got home were now slim to none so he spent the concert trying to get back into her good graces, which he succeeded it at by the end of the concert when P and I saw them making out outside of the church. Seriously.

Anyway, I’ve been on StumbleUpon for a while now, going through loads of sites. Here’s some awesome stuff I found.

I’m a rather cynical person. I don’t take compliments well. Therefore, the above image speaks volumes to me.

I love the way that’s written. Love it.
